A Hollywood Christmas

holiday films. It includes scenes from classics such as IT'S A
WONDERFUL LIFE, WHITE CHRISTMAS, and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET as

SCISSORHANDS and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

The Bible
Focusing and dramatizing the first 22 chapters in The Book of
Genesis, "The Bible in the Beginning...," exquisitely and
diligently explores the origins of mankind. The stories of Adam
and Eve, the story of Cain and Abel, Noah and the Ark, the Tower
of Babel, Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham and Sarah, their son Isaac
and Abraham's covenant with God are all dealt with in epic
fashion.

The Story Of Silent
Night
The words for Silent Night were written in 1818 by Father Joseph
Mohr and has become the worldwide anthem of Christmas. Here, the
Vienna Boys Choir beautifully sings Silent Night and remembers
the miracle of faith.

The Christmas That
Almost Wasn't
As Christmas approaches, mean Mr. Prune (Rossano Brazzi) schemes to ensure that
Christmas will never come again. His plan involves evicting Santa and Mrs. Claus
from the North Pole for not paying their rent--but when the children of the
world hear of his Prune's evil plan, they put their heads together to keep Santa
in his home forever. This U.S./Italian co-production, with songs composed by
star Paul Trip, was also directed by Brazzi.

The Walton's -
Homecoming
This made-for-television holiday movie about a Depression-era family in rural
America launched the popular and long-running TV series The Waltons. It's
Christmas Eve on Walton's Mountain, and the close-knit clan prepares to
celebrate the holiday together--only to have their love and courage sorely
tested as they wait for their father to return home during treacherous weather.
With Patricia Neal as the venerable matriarch, Richard Thomas in his famous role
as John-Boy, and a strong supporting cast that includes Andrew Duggan, Cleavon
Little, Ellen Corby, and Edgar Bergen, THE HOMECOMING celebrates trademark
Walton values such as family, love, courage, and hope.
