Christmas With Crosby
and Kate
Kate Smith rose to fame in the 1950s as a wholesome family
entertainer who helmed shows such as "The Kate Smith Evening
Hour," and "The Kate Smith Show." Her delightful singing
abilities brought joy into the homes of millions of TV
viewers, and on this release she is joined by the mercurial
talents of Bing Crosby. The duo performs a delightful
selection of Christmas classics, offering some touching
seasonal cheer and goodwill, making this the perfect
complement to the festive season.

Christmas With Ozzy
and Harriet
The original "Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet" show ran
between 1952-1966, and proved to be a hugely successful
sitcom. The show is something of a proto-reality show, with
the events portrayed based on situations that occurred in
the actors lives. Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard play
themselves, and use their real names, as they adopt the
familiar role of parents in a nuclear family. Their
real-life kids, David and Ricky Nelson, play their offspring
in the show. Laughs aplenty ensue as the cameras follows
their antics, and in this release the family celebrates
Christmas together. Two episodes are included: "Busy
Christmas," in which the family get up to some festive
hijinks; and "Late Christmas Gift," which sees the family
experiencing further yuletide fun

only daughter, Blair (Julie Gonzalo), away from home on her Peace Corps

But their neighbors, led by Vic Frohmeyer (Dan Akroyd), take Christmas very
seriously and are none too happy about the Kranks' boycott. In this neighborhood
where every house is decorated to the hilt and has a Frosty on the roof,
skipping Christmas is virtually a crime. And just as the Kranks are preparing
for their Christmas Day departure, they get a call from their daughter who
announces that she is coming home for Christmas after all. Suddenly, all systems
are go for their annual Christmas Eve party and a normal--highly
festive--holiday. Will the Kranks be able to pull together a perfect Christmas
for Blair in just a few hours, or will she discover their plan to skip
Christmas? Directed by Joe Roth (AMERICA'S SWEETHEARTS) and based on a John
Grisham novel, this film also features appearances by Cheech Marin, Caroline
Rhea, and Felicity Huffman.
